Joren Traveller

Captivated by form and texture Joren works bronze and ceramic to produce beguiling sculptures that express the character she sees in each individual creature..

Sculptor

An avid naturalist Joren enjoys traveling throughout the Northwest and Southwest gathering ideas for her art from places visited and wildlife observed as well as charismatic domestic animals.  She states, "As an artist I find sculpture the media best suited to me.  I work in wax, oil based clay and ceramic.  Each has its own character and I enjoy experimenting with the different feels each offers. My favorite subjects are birds and equines and in my sculpture I try my best to make each creature become as alive to the observer as they are to me. I usually use traditional patinas but will use exotic patinas or paint to enhance the piece if needed.

Painter

I am always trying new media and techniques and  have experimented with pastels, acrylics, oils and liquid graphite. I enjoy painting  animal portraits and am currently enjoying the challenge of painting landscapes inspired by my travels.
